The W Lounges at São Paulo’s Guarulhos Airport (GRU)
São Paulo's Guarulhos Airport operates four (4x) W Lounges for both domestic and international travelers. Two lounges serve domestic passengers (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2), while two cater to international flights (both in Terminal 3). The W brand runs both standard and premium tier W Premium Lounges at GRU.
This guide details all the need-to-know information regarding access options, available amenities, and policies at the lounges.
W Premium Lounge (Terminal 1, Domestic)
Terminal 1 primarily serves as Azul’s base for domestic operations, making the T1 W Premium Lounge the primary option for the carrier’s passengers.
This compact, single room space holds just 36 guests at maximum capacity. Seating includes individual chairs and small table groupings. The design follows the W brand’s contemporary aesthetic. This domestic only lounge operates 24 hours a day, although its small size means it can fill up quickly.
Location: The lounge is situated on the second floor of Terminal 1's domestic departure area, positioned after security control in the airside zone. After clearing security, look for signs directing you upstairs to the second floor near the departure gates.
Free shuttle buses connect Terminal 1 to the other terminals every 15-20 minutes, though allow extra time during peak periods.
Opening Hours: 24 hours daily.
Amenities: Buffet, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, shower, Wi-Fi, TVs, air conditioning, power outlets, flight monitors, bar.
Food & Drink: Offerings are focused on light snacks. Morning service includes basic breakfast items like pastries and simple egg dishes. Afternoon and evening periods switch to cold sandwiches, packaged snacks, and occasional hot options.
Beverage selections cover domestic beers, house wines, and standard spirits. Coffee, soft drinks, and juices are also available. Most items come pre-packed or prepared in small batches.
Access Duration: The maximum stay for most access methods is 3 hours, with hourly rates available for shorter visits. Access may be restricted during peak hours due to space constraints between 05.00-09.00 & 21:00-23:00.

The American Express Centurion Lounge at GRU permanently closed on February 28, 2025. The facility previously operated in Terminal 3 but didn't renew its contract. American Express now provides Platinum and Centurion cardholders with complimentary access to W Premium Lounges across all three terminals as a replacement benefit.
How much does an airport lounge cost?

Summing Up
W Lounges offer a reliable and consistent experience across all three terminals at São Paulo–Guarulhos Airport (GRU). They are particularly valuable lounges for travellers without elite frequent flyer status, or for passengers who don’t fly in higher tier travel classes (first or business).
Although they don’t reach the luxury level of full-service airline lounges, they strike a strong balance between accessibility, price, and convenience, particularly when booked in advance through services like LoungePair or accessed via premium credit cards.
