Terminal 1 Overview
Airline Operations
Terminal 3 is almost entirely dedicated to Emirates. The airline operates across all three concourses:
Concourse A: Handles most Airbus A380 departures
Concourse B: Core hub for most other Emirates flights (A350 and Boeing 777 services) as well as other carriers
Concourse C: Supports additional Emirates services and select flydubai flights
A small number of partner airlines also use Terminal 3, including Air Canada and United Airlines.

Summary of Available Paid Lounges
Terminal 3 offers seven independent lounges and seven Emirates operated facilities that can be accessed for a fee.
Independent Lounges
These third-party lounges are bookable directly or via lounge membership programs:

marhaba Lounges (x3): Concourse A (A2-A3), B (B23), and C (C21-C23)

Third Choice: Concourse B
The most central and therefore the most crowded, Concourse B is often described as hectic during late night and early morning departure waves. Showers are frequently in demand.

The Plaza Premium Lounge in Concourse A feels more refined than most contract lounges, with a modern design and varied seating options. The lounge has become a popular alternative for passengers without access to Emirates’ premium facilities.

Shower facilities are available for an additional fee, and at Concourse B there’s also a “Lounge Lite” package that gives you a lounge seat, shower access, and drinks. Entertainment and flight screens are deliberately absent.

Why choose this over a lounge: Perfect if you want a quick massage, nail care, or beauty treatment rather than food, drinks or a quiet space.

Be Relax offers express treatments, including massages, oxygen sessions, nail services, facials, and showers. It has multiple locations across Terminal 3: two in Concourse A (near Gates A1 and A23) and four in Concourse B (near Gates B10, B13, B18, and B23). All are open 24 hours.
Treatments are designed to be short and effective, making them practical during layovers. Walk-ins are accepted (subject to availability), and advance booking is also available.
Gaming Facilities
Game Space
Why choose this over a lounge: Ideal if you’d rather pass the time with immersive gaming than food, drinks, or rest.

Game Space is a dedicated 24-hour gaming lounge in Concourse B near Gate B27. It features 40 high-end stations with gaming PCs, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, VR headsets, and 50-inch screens.
Depending on your entry package, you may receive a complimentary drink, but otherwise snacks and drinks are available for purchase and can be delivered to your station. Access is typically charged by the hour, starting at AED 80 (~US$22).
LoungePair guests can purchase a pass for $40 USD per person and receive 2 hour access to Game Space, which includes a complimentary drink and access to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, Arcade, as well as 15 minutes on the Driving Steering Wheel and Virtual Reality.

The Plaza Premium Lounge in Concourse A has a play area stocked with wooden toys and private family suites with butler service. (Emirates’ lounges do not have dedicated children’s rooms.)
Overnight at Terminal 3
For night departures, early morning arrivals, or long layovers in Terminal 3, travellers can make use of the following 24-hour lounges and sleeping facilities:
Ahlan Business Class Lounges (Concourses A, B, and C): Buffet dining, drinks, free showers, and children’s play areas
Helpful tip: Concourse A and C are quieter options and best for securing a shower quickly.
marhaba Lounges (Concourses A, B, and C): Buffet dining, Wi-Fi, and play zones in A and B; showers cost extra
Helpful tip: Expect heavy crowds during overnight departures, so arrive early if you want seating or shower access.
Plaza Premium Lounge (Concourse A): Buffet dining, bar service, free showers, a children’s play area, and private family suites (for an additional fee)
Helpful tip: Book family suites in advance, as they are among the few private spaces available in DXB’s contract lounges.
Emirates Lounges (Concourses A, B, and C): Buffet dining, drinks, and a quiet atmosphere, with paid access for Emirates economy and premium economy passengers
Helpful tip: Independent lounges usually offer better value for your money.

Sleeping Facilities
sleep ’n fly (Concourses A, B, and C): Private pods and cabins with real beds, linens, and charging ports; Concourse B is the largest with 40+ units.
Helpful tip: Reserve in advance as pods in Concourse B particularly often sell out during busy waves.
Dubai International Hotel (Concourses A, B, and C): Full-service, airside hotel with hourly and overnight rooms, and 24-hour dining. The Concourse B facility is the largest and offers a gym, relaxation pool, jacuzzi, and steam rooms.
Helpful tip: Book directly online to secure hourly rates, especially during peak travel periods, as walk-up availability can be limited.

Getting to Other Terminals
Dubai International Airport has three passenger terminals. Terminal 3 is the Emirates hub, with Concourses A, B, and C, located to the south of the runways alongside Terminal 1 and its Concourse D. Terminal 2 sits separately on the north side of the runways and is not directly connected to T1 or T3.
Helpful tip: Lounges are available in both T1 and T3, and since the two are connected airside, eligible passengers can use lounges in either terminal. However, be sure to leave enough time to get from the lounge to your gate.
Within Terminal 3
Concourses A, B, and C are linked by the APM (automated people mover) and walkways.
To Terminal 1 (Concourse D)
T1 and T3 are connected airside by a walkway and a free shuttle bus.
Walking time: 5-30 minutes, depending on starting point (walking recommended between C and D)
Shuttle is faster if moving between distant concourses (especially A/B and D).
Metro connects T1 and T3 landside (one stop apart).
Helpful tip: Concourse C is closest to T1 Concourse D, while Concourse A is the furthest away, so plan accordingly.

To Terminal 2
T2 is in a separate area of the airport and is not directly connected to T3.
You must clear immigration, then take transport such as a shuttle or taxi to reach it.
The road journey typically takes 15-20 minutes.
Helpful tip: We do not recommend attempting a connection between T2 and T3 unless you have a very long layover or separate ticket, since you will need to re-clear immigration and security on both ends.
Summing Up
Terminal 3 has a large variety of lounge picks to choose from, with 14 options spread across Concourses A, B and C. Emirates passengers enjoy premium Business and First Class Lounges, while independent travellers can choose between Plaza Premium (best overall with showers and family suites), Ahlan Lounges (solid all-rounders, strongest in Concourse A), and marhaba Lounges (functional but often crowded and charging extra for showers).
Beyond lounges, sleep ’n fly pods and the Dubai International Hotel offer proper beds, with the hotel’s Concourse B site offering a gym, pool, and spa. Families benefit from separate play areas in some lounges and the dedicated Family Zone near Gate B28, and the Game Space is a fun addition to the Terminal.
Overall, Terminal 3 caters to every type of passenger, from those seeking exclusivity to those needing simple comfort and rest during a long layover.
