Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh, SGN) International Airport Lounges: Paid Access Guide
Last Updated

On this page
Tan Son Nhat International (SGN) is Vietnam's busiest airport, processing over 40 million passengers annually through its three terminals. It is located 4 miles (6 km) north of the centre of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
Many travellers assume airport lounges require elite status or business class tickets, but SGN offers several paid access lounges where anyone can purchase entry. Discover all pay per use lounge options at Ho Chi Minh City Airport, helping you find the perfect space that fits your budget and needs.

Terminal Navigation
Ho Chi Minh City Airport operates across three terminals:
Terminal 1 handles all domestic flights within Vietnam. Two lounges offer paid access here, with operations running from 04:30 until the last evening departure. Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, and other domestic carriers use this terminal's 20 gates across 41,684 square meters.
Terminal 2 manages international flights with 24-hour operations. Five lounges accept walk-up purchases throughout this larger terminal spanning 115,834 square meters. All foreign airlines and international routes operate from here.
Terminal 3 opened in April 2025 as a dedicated Vietnam Airlines domestic hub. Currently no lounges offer pay-per-use access in this newest terminal. Shuttle buses connect Terminal 3 to the main airport complex every 20 minutes.
Travellers can walk between Terminals 1 and 2 in about 5 minutes. Security checkpoints separate the terminals, so you'll need to clear screening again when changing between domestic and international areas.
Terminal 1 Lounges
Terminal 1's domestic operations center around Gates 1-20, with the Le Saigonnais Business Lounge being located nearby Gate 11. Note that the Prime Lounge in this terminal is not currently open.
The map below from SASCO provides a helpful indicator as the location of the different lounges in Terminal 1.

Food and Drink: Vietnamese cuisine with traditional pho is served during breakfast and lunch hours. Which Lounge is Best?
Best Value Under $30
The Le Saigonnais Business Lounge (Terminal 1) and The SENS Business Lounge (Terminal 3) offer unmatched value with access from 456,545 VND (approximately $17.50 USD). Full amenities including runway views and Vietnamese dining match pricier international lounges. The 06:00-21:00 schedule covers most domestic flight times effectively.
Best for Short Stays (Under 2 Hours)
Rose Business Lounge (Terminal 2) operates 24/7 with convenient Gates 8-9 access. Quick visits benefit from the central location and efficient pho station. Skip shower queues elsewhere when time runs short.
Best for Long Layovers
Apricot Business Lounge (Terminal 2) provides Terminal 2's only shower facilities among pay-per-use options. The 24-hour schedule and quieter Level 1 location create better rest opportunities. Limited food variety matters less during overnight connections focused on refreshment.
Best Amenities for the Price
Jasmine Halal Lounge (Terminal 2) delivers unique features beyond standard lounge offerings. Prayer rooms, family-friendly layout, and halal certification serve specific traveler needs. Two-story views and Mediterranean-Indian cuisine provide variety at a solid $35 price point.
Most Convenient Locations
Terminal 1: Le Saigonnais at Gate 11 offers central access.
Terminal 2: Rose Business Lounge between Gates 8-9 offers the most central access.
Practical Airport Information
Getting to The City
Ho Chi Minh City offers multiple transport options from the airport to downtown:
Bus 109 provides reliable airport transfers in red minivans (formerly yellow). The service costs 15,000 VND ($0.60) for routes over 5km with departures every 15-20 minutes between 05:30 and 22:40. Reach Ben Thanh Market in approximately 45 minutes. Note that large luggage may incur additional charges since March 2024. Buses depart from Column 12 at Terminal 2 and Column 18 at Terminal 1.
Bus 152 offers the most economical option at 5,000 VND ($0.20) plus 5,000 VND per large bag. Green public buses depart every 15-20 minutes from 05:45 to 18:15. The route includes more stops, extending travel time to 50-90 minutes depending on traffic. This bus ends at Ben Thanh Market.
Grab and taxis provide door-to-door convenience. Grab typically charges 120,000-250,000 VND ($5-11) depending on destination and traffic. Official taxis cost 150,000-200,000 VND ($6-9) plus a mandatory 10,000 VND airport fee. Mai Linh (green) and Vinasun remain the most reliable taxi companies. Beware of dishonest drivers inflating the official airport fee.
Terminal Navigation
Navigating between terminals requires some planning:
Terminal 1 to Terminal 2: 5-minute walk through connecting corridor
Terminal 3 shuttle: Departs every 20 minutes for the newest terminal
Security requirements: Must clear screening again when changing terminals
Plan lounge visits based on your departure terminal since security procedures prevent easy terminal hopping.
Money Matters
Currency exchange at Terminal 2 offers competitive rates at multiple locations throughout the arrivals and departures areas. Terminal 1 limits exchange to VietinBank with restricted hours (Monday-Friday 08:00-11:30, 13:00-16:30). Watch for hidden 4% service fees at some exchange counters as noted in currency exchange guides.
ATMs provide convenient cash access with 13 machines at Terminal 2 behind the D1/D2 entrances. Terminal 1 offers 6 ATMs near entrance D2. Most banks limit withdrawals to 2-10 million VND per transaction with 3% fees standard. Sacombank charges only 1.5%, making it the best option for larger withdrawals according to Airport Banking's ATM guide.
Summing Up
Ho Chi Minh City Airport makes lounge access simple with multiple facilities accepting lounge passes. Just walk up, pay your fee, present your pass or membership card and enjoy a more comfortable airport experience. Whether you're catching an early domestic flight or surviving an overnight international layover, SGN's accessible lounges provide refuge from crowded terminals at prices that make sense for any budget.
