Palmas International Airport is a single terminal building with the constructed area approximately 12,300 m², with the broader airport site being much larger, allowing for expansion if needed. The designed annual capacity is currently about 2.1 million passengers per year.

The terminal offers a straightforward range of facilities and services, including cafés, a restaurant, and retail shops. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and travellers will find ATMS, information desks, baggage services and several car-rental counters in the arrivals area.

Palmas Airport sits about 20 km south of Palmas. Taxis, ride-hailing apps (like Uber), and private transfers are the main ways to reach town. Journeys are likely to take around 20-30 minutes.

Several car rental desks operate inside the terminal, including Localiza, Unidas, Movida, and Hertz. Booking ahead is recommended during holidays and high season months, as inventory can be limited.
