Bird Lounge

Located landside before security in Terminal 1, this compact lounge is available to passengers departing on all flights from Biju Patnaik International Airport.

The self-service buffet typically provides Indian and Western options, such as puri with egg bhurji, bread pakora, and aloo chop at breakfast, with rice, dal, and roti at lunch. Other dishes such as chicken chilli and noodles may be available throughout the day. Note that hot food may not yet be ready in the first hour after the lounge opens, so very early arrivals might find a reduced spread.

The lounge has a relatively small footprint, with armchairs and low tables in one zone and bar-height stools in another. Factor in time to clear security after leaving, before heading to the departure gates.
