Frequently Asked Questions

Does Doha have sleeping pods?

Yes, they do - sleep 'n fly are the main provider of sleeping pods at Hamad International Airport. Across their two lounges in Duty Free Plaza South and in Concourse C, their innovative sleep pods and cabins provide accommodation for up to 107 guests, including adults and children.

How much is the lounge in Doha airport?

The price of access to sleep ‘n fly at Hamad International Airport can vary depending on:

  • The type of pod or bunk you want to hire

  • The length of time you plan to stay

  • Whether you are travelling peak or off-peak

On an example 8-hour booking, rates were (all in USD):

  • $145 for a FlexiSuite Pod (with bedding included)

  • $231 for a YAWN Bunk Cabin

  • $239 for a YAWN Double Cabin

  • $262 for a YAWN Double Cabin with a child’s bed

  • $312 for a YAWN Family Bunk Cabin

Do I need to pre-book a sleeping pod?

You don’t have to, but if you want to play it safe it is strongly recommended that you do pre-book–especially during the busy peak hours! If you’re making a bid with LoungePair, we recommend you do this at least a couple of weeks ahead of time, and don’t leave until the last minute.

How long can I book a sleeping pod for?

You can book a sleeping pod from 2 hours to 24 hours, and anything in between.

How long is the lounge open for?

Both sleep ‘n fly lounges in Doha are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This is a real must with the number of flights transiting via Doha, at all hours of the day and night.

What should I expect on arrival?

After check-in at reception (outside the lounge entrance to reduce noise) you will be escorted to your Pod/Cabin by one of the staff to ‘not literally tuck you’ in for your rest.

Can I access Sleep ‘n Fly if I am not in transit?

No, if you go through customs and immigration, you won’t be able to access the lounge. If you arrive in Doha and need to check-in for your next flight with luggage, you can do so, and then access the lounge again once you pass back through immigration. However, you should be aware that most airlines don’t accept baggage drop until 3 hours before flight departure time. So, you’re only in for a longer visit if you’re hand luggage only!

What if I sleep for too long? I’m worried I will miss my flight!

Wow, what a problem to have at an airport! It’s just your luck that sleep ‘n fly also offers a wake-up service with a complimentary hot or cold towel depending on your preference. We still recommend setting an alarm though, as the lounge cannot be held responsible for missing your flight if there is a schedule change.

Are there food, drink, or bathroom facilities available?

The sleep ’n fly lounge in Duty Free Plaza South at Hamad International Airport does not offer food, drink or bathroom facilities.

These facilities are just a short walk away, and of course you can leave and come back.

If you’re visiting the Concourse C lounges, while food and drink are unavailable, you can book and use a shower subject to availability on arrival.

Does Sleep ‘n Fly offer Wi-Fi access?

Wi-Fi and other forms of connectivity are provided by the airport operator, and not sleep ‘n fly.

Just search for “HIAQatar Complimentary WiFi” on your smartphone, tablet or laptop computer and sign in.

Is Sleep ‘n Fly at Hamad or Doha International Airport?

The Sleep ‘n Fly lounges are located at Hamad International Airport (DOH), which is the main airport in Doha. Confusingly, there is another airport called Doha International Airport (DIA), which has been closed since Hamad International Airport opened, but reopened during the World Cup in late 2022 to assist with high passenger volumes.

So, make sure to check your flight details before booking.

If you are flying to DOH, you can visit Sleep ‘n Fly. If you are flying to DIA, you’re out of luck!

Conclusion

The sleep ‘n fly lounges at Hamad International Airport in Doha offer a variety of sleeping pod options for travellers looking for a place to rest and relax before continuing their journey.

Their innovative sleeping pods come in several different configurations, including options for single travellers, couples, families, and groups. Each pod comes equipped with a range of features such as air conditioning, a flat-bed seat, USB and power sockets, overhead storage, and more.
