Guide to The Sky Hub Lounge at Gimpo International Airport (GMP)

Gimpo International Airport (GMP) is located in western Seoul, South Korea’s capital.

Once the city’s main international gateway, it was replaced by Incheon International Airport in 2001. Today, Gimpo serves as Seoul’s secondary airport and is the third busiest airport in South Korea by passenger traffic.

Its main carriers include Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, and Jeju Air, among others.

Gimpo Airport has Domestic and International Terminals located a short distance apart and connected by a walkway.

While there are a few airline lounges at GMP, only one currently offers paid access: The Sky Hub lounge. It is located in the International Terminal and is therefore restricted to guests traveling internationally.

The Sky Hub Lounge is an independent lounge best known for its food selection. Guests can typically assemble their own bibimbap and sample dishes such as tteokbokki, dumplings, and Korean soups, alongside complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

There is a variety of seating in the lounge, along with two dedicated meeting rooms.

The lounge often fills during the morning departure wave but is quieter through the afternoon.

With access available through several lounge membership programs, day passes, and other entry methods, it offers a convenient alternative to Gimpo’s airline-operated lounges.

Airside after passport control and security check in the International Departures section, Level 2, the lounge is located near gate 35 and R1.

Children under 2 years old are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

While the Sky Hub Lounge is the only pay-to-enter lounge at Gimpo International Airport, it offers a well-rounded selection of amenities for a comfortable visit.

Wi-Fi, computer facilities, and meeting rooms provide some support for work, although the lounge is primarily designed for dining, and its main strength is its selection of food and beverages.

For this reason, the Sky Hub lounge might be best suited for shorter visits rather than extended stays.
