About this lounge

The smaller of the two Kenya Airways lounges in Terminal 1A, Simba Lounge offers multiple diffent types of seating and large windows looking directly over the airfield.

Food is served as a self-service buffet. The hot selection rotates and might include pilau rice, beef stew, and ratatouille. Cold options include salads, pastries, bread, sweets, and fresh fruit. At the bar, beer, wine, and spirits are available on a self-service basis, alongside soft drinks, juices, tea, and coffee. Kenyan Arabica coffee is available from a Nestlé espresso machine.

The lounge has separate areas for families, quiet rest, and business use. The Business Experience Centre provides Wi-Fi and printing. Shower facilities are provided, subject to availability. A Smoking Room is provided. A VVIP private room, ideal for meetings or additional privacy, can be booked for an additional fee.

Yes, your pass is issued as soon as you pay and enter the traveler's name. It can be used right away if you are within the lounge's permitted entry window before your flight and the lounge is open. No advance booking or time selection is generally required.

Lounge entry is only permitted within the time period covered by your pass, counted back from your scheduled flight departure time, in accordance with the lounge's entry rules.

For groups of 9 or more, most lounges need advance notice so they can manage capacity on the day. Group bookings made without prior confirmation may be subject to lounge approval on the day, and our refund policy applies to those passes.

On rare occasions, lounges may reach capacity. We guarantee your pass can be used during lounge opening hours, so if you encounter any capacity issues, please contact our support team for assistance.

If you have any issues or concerns during your lounge visit and don't want to proceed with using the lounge after checking in, please approach the reception staff to raise your concerns. If you haven't yet used any of the lounge facilities, these staff may be able to request for your lounge pass redemption to be reversed. Otherwise, your pass will be considered used and is no longer eligible for a refund.
